Van Man versus Van Hire (London)
Is it easier or "cheaper" to hire a van and move yourself? Well, we are obviously biased, but let's have a look and you decide..
Van Hire:
- First you will need to find a suitable van hire company either in London or nationally, and trawl through all the hire company terms.
- Visit the depot, complete all the documentation, and pay a large deposit, which you will lose if you damage the vehicle.
- Drive an unfamiliar van through busy London streets, load and unload without any help (unless you have roped in some friends).
- When you have finished, you will then need to return the van to the van hire depot and complete some further documentation.
- Finally after the vehicle has been inspected for any minor dents and scratches etc, you can settle up and make your own way home.
- All this for a price that is usually about the same or slightly more than hiring Van Man to help you.
